Get tested for food allergies. Food allergies are more and more common and it is estimated that most people do not have an immediate onset allergen but a delayed allergen which can result in conditions such as migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, eczema, psoriasis and recurrent infection.

With food allergies specifically there are 2 types of antibodies that occur.

1. IgG which is the delayed onset and a reaction occurs within 72 hours of exposure to the item.

2. IgE is the immediate onset allergen (for example: the person who sneezes next to a cat or the child who can’t breathe due to a peanut exposure).  While these two are very different symptoms, they can make a person’s body very sick and it can create an immediate and delayed reaction.  Testing allows us to know how severe the antibody reaction is to the allergen and which things need to be avoided.
